Andean leather is known for its qualities of thickness, color, finish and refined texture. These inherent characteristics make it a highly competitive resource in European, Asian and North American markets. Leather and textile production are in fact some of the area’s biggest industries.
The leather coming out of the country has the added benefit of being mostly free from irregularities due to insect irritation. The high altitude climate here produces smaller cows with fewer incidences of insect holes when compared with the cows raised in lowland climates.
We make an effort to support local business and use local materials whenever possible. All the leather used in our production is sourced from regional tanneries that comply with our business values and ethics.
